The Rottweiler is a strong, intelligent & loyal breed.  Average lifespan is 7 to 10 yrs old, but there are numerous exceptions of them living to 12 and 14 yrs old.  This 6 yr old girl was placed through referrals from this site in just 5 days!  My best wishes to her in her new home.

Since there is no longer a dedicated Rottweiler rescue group that takes in & fosters homeless Rotties, the majority of dogs found here will be owner surrenders.

ADOPTERS:  If you contact any of the people listing a dog here, please make sure you mention that you saw him/her on the Alaska Purebred Rescue web page.  By doing so, the owner, or rescuer will know that this page is bringing them potential adopters!

**By listing a dog here, I am NOT vouching for temperament or health!  I encourage anyone considering adopting a dog to ask LOTS of questions and make sure you can put your hands all over the dog without getting growled at or bitten, *before* you bring the dog home with you.**
