The Rottweiler is a strong, intelligent & loyal breed.  Average lifespan is 7 to 10 yrs old, but there are numerous exceptions of them living to 12 and 14 yrs old.  This 6 yr old girl was placed through referrals from this site in just 5 days!  My best wishes to her in her new home.

Since there is not a dedicated Rottweiler rescue group that takes in & fosters homeless Rotties, the majority of dogs found here will be owner surrenders.

SPCA in Anchorage currently has a large 3 yr old, neutered male named Jasper available for adoption.  He is described as being sweet, knowing basic commands of sit & down and was given up because of "allergies".  He may not do well with small children, so a home with older kids and/or adults may be more appropriate.  A fenced  yard will be required.  (click on pic to see full size) If you're interested in Jasper, contact SPCA at 344-3622
