When a GSD is available for adoption, the entire family is encouraged to attend the first meeting, especially the children. If another dog lives with the family, we welcome you to bring the dog too. If the family decides the dog is right for you, then an adoption application must be filled out (see link above). A home visit will then be scheduled and references checked. All this effort is to insure a good home for the dog.
This rescue does not charge an application fee, but please be aware references will be checked and an on-site visit will be made before placing a dog with applicant(s). The best fit for the dog is our main concern. Thank you for understanding.
The adoption fee is $200.00, which helps offset cost of vet bills while in foster care.

We are only a very few people helping find good homes for displaced GSDs and are in desperate need of a few more people with experience with this breed! Please use the "Adoption Application" form to contact us and let us know YOU want to be a foster home.
Lily came to us from the Mat-Su Borough Animal Care. She is a sweet and affectionate dog; energetic and protective. She is overly protective when someone comes to her home and it takes her a few minutes to calm and stop barking; however, when she does she is very social and loving.
She will need an experienced Shepherd owner with time to work on her training. Interested homes will need to fill out an adoption application.
