We have a 3 1/2 year old male - chipped, loyal, very intelligent and good with female dogs - he knows basic commands and is sweet, but MUST go to a home as an only dog or with a non-dominant female.
This guy has been a good companion, but for the good of the senior male in his current home, he needs to be rehomed.Sharing encouraged - no pics at this time - Be sure to fill out an adoption application

German Shepherd Rescue of Alaska
We are only a very few people helping find good homes for displaced GSDs and are in desperate need of a few more people with experience with this breed! Please use the "Adoption Application" form to contact us and let us know YOU want to be a foster home.
Jake is 9 mos. old and very active. He is good with other dogs and kids, but will be destructive if not exercised enough. This boy is very protective of his family.
An adopter with experience with GSDs is preferred. An adoption application is needed, if interested.
When a GSD is available for adoption, the entire family is encouraged to attend the first meeting, especially the children. If another dog lives with the family, we welcome you to bring the dog too. If the family decides the dog is right for you, then an adoption application must be filled out (see link above). A home visit will then be scheduled and references checked. All this effort is to insure a good home for the dog.
This rescue does not charge an application fee, but please be aware references will be checked and an on-site visit will be made before placing a dog with applicant(s). The best fit for the dog is our main concern. Thank you for understanding.
The adoption fee is $200.00, which helps offset cost of vet bills while in foster care.
